A Dawned Reality?!

An old library building, it is so silent that the gloomy look of library gives you a shudder to enter in its complete serene silence…but the Librarian at the desk performing his task with few heads pondering over magazines and books beyond comprehension….!

The book rows stands out in the dim light and with the combination of the sunlight that is passing through the glass windows from above gives the place an heavenly odor….!

A lone slender figurine stands at the rack of books on world history and lost in thought. She is actually looking for a book of reference and not able to find…she had found it when she was there yesterday. Yesterday, yeah if he had not intervened as usual would not have left the building without the book and would have worked on the assignment.

Half-hoping he pops up again and half-hope of not to make him appear, she intensely looks at the books stacked. She is looking at the book, reading through the name of the book, the author, lost in them…did not notice the guy behind her almost close to her breath.

A hand clutches her left hand with vivid power that it actually aches…she turns around with a sudden shudder that runs through the whole body and looks at a person who stands taller than her and with the shoulders that can rest a troubled face and ease away the pain….looking at her teasingly.

She almost would have let out a shrill cry but recognizing him to be the person she had halfheartedly wanted to be there…she gives him a sly smile, looking into his brown eyes and an inquiring gaze.

She raises her eyebrows seemingly to ask him, “What are you doing? People are around and there is the librarian.”

For which, he replies, shrugging his shoulders, as if he is not bothered and does not care…with a louder teasing smile.

She says, “So what now?” with a gesture of her other hand. She had not struggled to let go of the hand that is being clutched.

He says, “Come closer, with a gesture of his eyes…and nods his head”

She gives him a sly smile and tries to move away from him, realizing all this while he was actually holding her hand.

She looks at her hand, his and then looks into his eyes. He is determined; he gently pulls her closer to him. She stumbles a little and then falls into his embrace and there seems to be no hindrance.

His embrace tightens and she finds herself resting on his shoulder as if nobody else’s business but hers and does not want to leave the warmth and the smell of him engulfs her. She is slowly losing control over her and he seems to stiffen his grip…then she wakes from her dreamy state and struggles to get out of the embrace.

Then, only she realizes how tight his grip is…she struggles in vain, with her pleading eyes she looks at him and he is just smiling at her helplessness. She tries to free herself; he is trying to gripping his control.

She pleads him and lets a soft cry, asking him to let go…!

He says, “No…stay this way”

She says, “No, let go…”

He says, “No, stay this way…”

She says, “NO…”with a louder voice that could attract a crowd and pushes him hard away from her and finds she is fighting with the air around and sitting awake on her bed.

She is shaken by this dream; she has not had erotic dreams as this since she got a changed status in her life and taken over more responsibilities of life.

She looks around for her bedside alarm piece and finds the clock striking five o’clock, an hour earlier than her usual time of wakefulness. She looks to the other side of her bed finding her husband sleeping blissfully without any awareness. Thanking god, for such small mercies, she knocks off her blanket, ties up her long hair into a knot and walks out of her bedroom.

She opens the door of the adjacent bedroom and finds Mira peacefully sleeping. She does not want to wake up her up; she closes the door, when she finds her trying to cover itself up with its blanket in vain when her motherly love pulls her closer to her.

She covers Mira with the blanket, tucking it along the contours of the bed; she slowly closes the door and walks off. She opens another bedroom door across the room and finds Parthi at his study table, trying to read through some text book.

The sound of his mom makes him respond a fraction of second earlier than his mom.

“Mamma, you up so soon….!”

“Hmmm...da. What are you reading?”

“I am trying to catch up with a history test today. Why should we read about some stupid tablets the King put up all over the place and followed some stupid religion after giving up war and conquering…why should we read all this story…mamma? It is so hard to remember them.”

“Son, unless we know what people ahead of us did, we would not be able to decide what we want to do and which is the right thing to do. So it is always necessary to know, what is good and what is bad and what other people did before us…! It indirectly tells you a lot of things. If you are not able to remember all the things that are being said…make some little imagination to what you are reading and make it interesting for you to read and enjoy….!”

“But beware you don’t carry off your imagination so that you forget what you are reading. Will get you a glass of hot milk…” Saying thus she walks away from him and her cascade of hair falls on to her shoulder making her look prettier than any women of her age………..!

“Don’t do that…leave it nah. You look beautiful this way…” this echoes in her ears and is stopped by its utterance and as if in a trance she is stalked at the door step.

“Mamma….Mamma…don’t do that…I keep telling you and you keep doing it….”

She is out of her reverie and finds her son looking at her fondly…she just nods her head as if acknowledging his request and walks off into the kitchen and sets the milk on the stove for a quick boil…!

Looking at the boiling milk she gets lost in the tiny splutters in the milk…!

It had been ages she had woken up to a dream like this…this was just not a dream, it was a part of her reality speaking to her from the past. There was so much fun and frolic in those days of college. She had been in her teens and was always full of life and kept lingering on the mind she spoke with.

She used to be the darling of the college and had a lot of fan following but none dared to make an effort to tell her…but there was this one person who did and that made a difference to her life as of now. She recollects the days in a flash, when she is distracted by a sudden movement at the kitchen.

She finds a shadow move closer to her from behind and the shadow places it hands on the kitchen slab clutching her from behind placing his arms rightly intermittently with her own arms and his breath is right close to her ears….the hot breath mixed with his smell…is making her heady and there he is uttering some words into her ears and she is not able to make sense of what he is uttering……….!

He slowly moves his hand to her hair and removes the knot; she now mostly does this act of her more as habit than a necessity…! Down goes the cascade of hair, soft and silky wobbling with the sudden effect of tension and it drapes her back beautifully with a swing…he rests his face on it for a second and moves closer to her ear to speak into it.

He is giggling and talking into her ears…“You know, I am reminded of the day when I clutched you close to me in the old library building of ours…I wish I could just travel to that time and hold you the same way. What say, darling?!”

She just laughs out aloud and turns around to cover her face on his shoulder and finds peace within…the embrace that lasted a lifetime and many more!

Smile

Dragging myself, I got into the boring office.

Swing door slid, I thought, “Gosh, 6 hours to go before I get out of that door.”

I heard, “Hey Kavi, I recognized your voice from the library.”

Bewildered I said, “Hey Sujay, good to see you.”

I looked forward with a smile stuck to my face.

It happened one night.......!

Kumar, I want to tell you something.

Yeah, tell me…my love…!

It is your fault; if only you listened to me.

What?

Yes, when I asked you to stop the other night.

Did I not stop it? – moving closer to her, clutching around her hips.

Well, you didn’t and the window pane is smashed.

Tall, smart and handsome (part -5)

A strong beam of sunlight crosses their path and intervenes between their faces and they both close their eyes for a second. She tries to open her eyes and take a look at him, no the ray is blindfolding, she is not able, trying again…again…and again, but no, she lets go of her hand and guards against the beam held across her forehead to look into those eyes.

She sees nothing but a pale white ceiling and the fan running like a tired deer, in slow motion…she does not understand. She winks her eyes, the same no change.

She gets up on her bed and understands it is a dream and the same dream again. She sits silent for a while and wonders, “why this dream always ends there and why she can’t see the entire thing…and dream installments?”

She clears her head with a knock on the right temple and says to herself- “If this wasn’t a dream she might have seen that smile, that face, that eyes somewhere in my work life and they all have come together in a dream…there isn’t so much to be carried away. A simple dream in an extra-ordinary setting…!”

She looks at the full mirror on the dressing table; she looks at her eyes, checks her figure, looks at her face and then gets on with her usual routine life, selects a dress for the day and sets on with her morning rituals and gets ready for the day ahead.

When she approaches the breakfast table, her dad and mom, see her as angel walking towards them with a beautiful smile and a contended face, and the beauty that cannot be missed and makes you see one more time. The beautiful chiffon saree, with a mild crème and maroon prints adds beauty to the dusky damsel in perfect figurine.

“Good morning, folks…so what’s the food today?” Finishing her breakfast leisurely with few meaningful glances with her dad and mom, she wishes them all a good day and walks off to the portico where her car is parked…!

Her dad looks at her mom and says, “Be ready to welcome a son-in-law, my dear wife…you have gone old now!”

Both of them laugh simultaneously looking at each other with a pride in their eyes; they are disturbed by a sound of a sms…“Dad, stop dreaming…!”

The car leaves the premises with a hand weaving from the window…and the window pulling close…! He looks at his wife and smiles, she wonders what is it? He hands her the phone and goes off to get ready for his daily chores.

On reaching her 10 storey office building parks her car at the basement, walks up to the lift and presses the button of her floor, she notices the second floor button already activated.

The lifts door closes and starts moving up…0….1…2…it stops a female gets in. Both of them don’t bother to look at each other and fail to acknowledge.

The fourth floor approaches and the lift come to halt slowly and the doors open. The woman at the second floor, walks out first and then follows, Sandy…when she is about to get out she finds a guy waiting to get in….the second lady has gone few feet ahead and then turns to find the guy moving into the lift, she calls out…Ka…r…thi…k….! Wait!

Involuntarily, Sandy looks in the direction and finds a recognizable smile flash across the man’s face, just then the lady gets in the path and that pair of eyes that sparkle, tell her something.

She is not able to place the smile and eyes but it spoke volumes to her in that few seconds, she turns to find that her lips also have curved into a half-drawn smile and the doors of the lift closing…the pair of eyes looking at her intently.

“Where did I see those eyes…that smile?”

Approaching the reception of her floor, she looks for the register as a regular practice, not finding a pen, she scans the table, she finds a full page advertisement of a famous brand black car with a Mask of Zorro….!

She looks at the door way and the sound of the lift closing by….and in a flash she gets the smile, the eyes, the face…she unknowingly smiles and dropping her bag on the desk runs to the lift…the lift drops by …3…2…!

All dreams don’t come true…but wish certain of our dreams come true and some dreams to remain a dream!

Tall, smart and handsome (part-4)

Her dad comes in and sits on her study table and waits for her to come in completely. She just waits at the door, comes near him and sits on the bed. Both of them look at each other and smile…why is it difficult to talk when you want to?

She looks at him once again and smiles, he does the same and then clears his throat and starts off with whatever he wanted to tell.

“Sandy, I have never seen you so confused or so lost. What is the reason? Is there any trouble or anything like your mom expects it to be?”

“Dad…Dad…There is nothing that I can tell you right now. I agree…I am confused. I…I…I don’t know where to start…and what to tell you? – She starts hovering around her bed and moving up and down the room, with her hands in the air and confusions in her talk.

Her dad just looks at her, thinking what can possibly go wrong. Is my wife correct, is her intuitions true…what am I to do now?

“No…No…No…” – Looking at her dad, she knows what’s running on his mind.

“Sandy, see there is nothing to worry. We are here to help you, kid. Tell us what it is. You have the freedom to do what you want with your life. We have never come in between your choices and wishes, so it will be even further. Just tell us, we would never make you succumb to our desires.”

She runs to her dad, and holding on to his knees she says, “Dad, I need some time. I am sure I am messed up. But I want to handle this myself. I want to come out of this and it is going to take some time…maybe a day or two. I promise, I will be all right. I assure you there is nothing to worry and there isn’t anything that can hurt me or us. Believe me; a little cleaning up is all that is required.”

Her dad, placing a hand on her head, for a minute looks into her eyes and then getting up from his seat, he says, “Sandy, if that is the condition, then it is fine. But remember, your mom and me are with you in every decision that you make.”

“Yes, dad, I know I can count on you people. Thanks, dad for being there. I will be myself in a couple of days!” Nodding here head, she says, “Good night, dad.”

“Good night, Sandy!”

Closing her doors, she lies down on her bed looking at the ceiling and moving along with the fan running clockwise, she seems be hold on to her thoughts, drifting off into her own dreams…!

A beautiful castle with a pathway decked with flowers and different kinds of trees on both sides…she is walking along the way, with a lot of birds chirping and singing… air heavily laden with heavenly fragrance, the rays of light playing hide and seek …slowly she walks by engulfing the surrounding.

The castle stands tall and strong, winning lots of battles and magnificent telling many a tales of victory. From the watch tower she sees that same familiar face, yet again bright and handsome. She looks at the face that has become so handsome and tiring to attain, she misses to see the right hand extended to her as if asking her to run into it.

The door of the castle has a bouquet of wild roses in a bunch. She looks at it and then looks at the face, she gets acknowledged by a nod, she lifts it and smells it; it has the same heavenly smell, making her giddy for a second.

She gently pushes open the doorway and finds a spatial garden strewn in front of her and a winding stairway in the center leading to the watch tower. She walks gently up to the stairway, climbing each stair with care.

At the end of the stairway, she sees the face at a distance so less to walk by and too much to run by. She waits for a second there and looks at him, so why has he masked himself even today? Why does he not remove it? Oh! God just once.

Without, she realizing it she utters, “Why do you mask yourself?”

“Oh! No, what did I just say?”

“Why don’t you want to remove them yourself…or should I?”

“I (Smile)…I…I…yeah for sure, I want to…I want to…hmm…see your face….Yeah, I do”

He just gives her a beautiful smile and she thinks – “Oh! The smile could take away a thousand hearts and be silent forever. Why do you want to torture me so? Now, why do you smile so beautifully, my hear is melting…!”

He just nods at her, slowly she just drifts towards him pulled by the magnetic force…she is just a few feet away from him. She can hear her heart-beat in her ears, the bangs against the walls of the heart, the heaving of the breath…and the distance slowly reducing.

She puts her left hand into his extended right arm, moving closer that their breath is intermingled at the center. She gazes on the face and smile that is giving her immense pleasures that she was not aware of. Then, she lifts her right arm towards the temple and the hand traveling further clutches the cloth that conceals the face, she gets lost in the deep set brown eyes for a second….she is almost there.

The nose bridge is fine, the mouth is sensuous, the cheek bones perfect, the chin perfect, the rough look of a warrior and mingled with a rustic man, the nape leading to the broad shoulders, the arms…So it is the blindfold that hides the whole picture, I am going to be throwing some light on to it.

Tall, smart and handsome (part 3)

It is the face that was very close to her and very much dear to her. She actualizes it is her dad and wonders what is he doing, there?

“Sandy(Sandhya), where were you? Why did you not attend our calls? We got really worried. What’s wrong child, are you all right?”

“Uhm…yeah dad, I am fine. But where is the other person, where did he vanish, now?” looking around.

“Who the other person…?”

“Urgh, never mind…between dad, what are you doing here? I mean, why are you moving around this alley…er…I mean, are you going somewhere?”

“Hmm…confused, kid I have. I came in search of you, thinking you might be somewhere around the corner and came to take a look whether you are fine, coz you weren’t returning our calls and you seem to be driving as if in a dream. What’s all this about and now what were you just trying to do?”

“Dad, I am not a kid any more, I know my way home. I had infact informed mom about my late coming, I wasn’t going to be kidnapped or whatever…as she said that, she took a close look at the darkened alley and wondered…what if it wasn’t her dad.

All her disappointment was coming on to her face of not seeing the masked man, “Oh! Where are you lost and why are you torturing me…?”

“Excuse, me lady, can I come in?”

“Yeah, what…how long you know him and isn’t it little strange running after a masked man…as if he is the Antonio Banderas of Mask of Zorro…!”

“I know…I know…now you stop and get lost…!”

“Sandy, sandy….what and whom are you talking to?”

Looking around her once again, banging her head out her reverie, she says, “Ahem! Dad, I don’t know something weird is happening to me, Ok, come now, lets go home.”

Both the dad and daughter get back home lost in their own thoughts and dad wonders what’s wrong with her. If something of a problem brewing or is she hallucinating something…! Have to get into the matter and solve it. Sooner the better, he promises himself.

Sandhya, internally is still disappointed that it was her dad and not the masked man, for a minute she even seems to curse her dad for being there and spoiling the effect of meeting the masked man.

How can she even think like that…a man of her dreams walking out to her…out of no where and if it wasn’t for her dad, she might have gone and hit some building and would have been in whole lot of trouble in that lonely alley.

It is high time I get out of this weird dream of mine and do something about it. Again, at the dinning table the discussion around her strange behavior starts to take rounds, the dad, mom, and brother giving a different connotation to it as appropriate they thought. She kept listening to it and then denied all facts and truths and comes into her heaven.

She could not resist it, the urge to call her dear most friend and discuss about this masked man. But she will also react like dad, mom and bro, again she would have to deny the facts and truths….wait a minute!

What is the fact here and what is the truth? Huh?!

“Hello, people of this house there is nothing as truth and fact, there is only this thing…the tall, smart and handsome masked man, who keeps coming to me and never lets me know…what is what. Ok, people…do you all, get that straight….!”

Oh! Sandy, who are you talking to again….Grrr……..No, this can’t be happening….I am talking to no audience. Am I going insane? She looks at the mirror and her reflection; nothing is strange she looks the same as she does. What’s wrong?

Then, subconsciously, dials her friend’s number on the mobile and starts to open her mouth to speak as soon as she hears her voice….but then her friend, before Sandy could utter a word goes on like a little propeller jet plane that zooms past you but you still can hear its shudder…it goes on.

Sandy puts her hand to her head and listens to all the blabber she had to say and keeps the phone on the table beside her as it is not the right time to discuss. Shall I go discuss with, mom?

No…No…No…that’s all she will spin her own story and it will become a flash story! Why take so much trouble? Will sleep and he will come and then can talk it out with him…this will give me time to analyze his character also meanwhile…Aiyoo….what’s wrong with me?!

She hears a knock on her door and dismisses it as a dream…and then with a full throttle goes to open to door, thinking that her dream is knocking at the door and asking for her permission to enter. She opens it to find her dad standing there…”Oh! not again!”

She did not mean to say that but it escaped her mouth and luckily her dad, did not hear it. She just smiles at his a half-sly smile and he just looks at her with his hands folded behind his back and waits for his daughter to give way and enter the room.

She seems to be standing in the way…they both smile at each other again and then she realizing that she is standing in his way lets him in involuntarily and then again they look at each other and smile…!

Tall, smart and handsome (part-2)

It is half past seven and still Sandhya is breaking over some calculations on her desk. She can’t be at peace still she gets that right and leave for the day. This calculation of hers has made her forget the ordeal at the dawn and her beautiful dream of hers.

It being that time of the year, when the nights are longer and days shorter…it was just being a little late than a pleasant evening it appeared as night. She hurriedly glances at her watch on the right hand and sets to get going, coz her lanes will get deserted and even being in a car it was a bit scary to pass through those streets.

Her house is anew in the area; some suburbs of the city, which is yet to be explored and overlooking the Bay of Bengal. It was such a scenic place, but deserted, quite calm with the lovely breeze of the sea. Sandhya wanted to be away from the crowd of the city, yet accessible place. She got what she wanted and joined hands with her dad to build this place.

She starts from her office, gets into the lift hits the basement key, when she sees a tall guy walking briskly towards the lift and motioning her to stop it for him. They way he tells her, there is something that her mind relates to it; she ignores it and hits the button to open the doors wide.

When he quickened his pace, he hears his name being called and turns…Ka…r…thi…k….! She keeps looking at that turn of head, towards the sound and she finds her eyes also move towards to it.

In that event, she missed the pair of eyes that said, “Mam, I am sorry…you carry on” and turned the other side, the last tilt that head could take, she caught at the right moment, something struck a chord. She missed it and with a sigh she got to the buttons on the lift and continued her journey.

The basement was almost empty with a few cars around; it is unusually late for her. She has never stayed so late even on requests always had her timings right and kept to it. The tube lights in the basement were hazy and some were flicking for want of light itself and was creating an eerie feeling to the whole place.

She could find a guard lost in thoughts and unmindful of the surroundings in one corner of the area. She wonders even if she shrieked will he be able to hear, the thoughts sent shudders through her backbone and with haste unlocked her car doors and locked them. The sound of the car doors locked gave her a sense of safe feeling, with the ignition she gave the sleeping engine a kick-start and slowly and gently maneuvered the blazing blue Hyundai Getz out on to the ramp.

She kept going with her favorite music being played on, keeping her company on the long road ahead. Leaving the shears of the city lights, crowds and sounds, she drives into the roadway of her abode, the lonely and quite life that was hers…she looks around there is not much cars and her car lights giving her enough light to pass through the way.

She looks into the rear-view mirror for a car behind and then a car passes by with the light reflecting on the mirror and blinding her sight, she loses her balance and the shrill power of fright traveling down her spine; she clutches the steer and pedals on to her home.

She comes to the lonely lane that looks almost deserted on a frenzy evening as well, there used to be street lights and today it looked as if nature was as against her.

On the start of the street something makes her stop for a minute and a déjà vu takes place, the alley in her dreams comes true and she gasps for her breath, right at the corner of the road she sees a bright light beaming for her. She steps on the pedal and moves into the street with all her sense on the verge of breakdown, she keeps moving taking in the weird images that creep in the dark.

She is murmuring to her, her mind is speaking to her – ‘it is ok, sweetheart, you are in a car and safe, all you have to do it keep the car moving no matter what and just finish off with this road and walk towards the light, keep focused…’

The light seems to be moving far away from her as she gets closer how is that possible, she seems to be going on forever…nothing seemed right. She peeps into the rear mirror and finds the path is winding just behind the back of her car, nothing seems right, no this can’t be happening, I am dreaming…she keeps telling to herself, but no her hands are sweating and she is moving this car and there is music that is loud enough for her to hear, there is this favorite song of hers that runs on a repeat mode.

Then, suddenly from nowhere she hears a honk too loud to bear, she lifts her hands off the steer and puts it to her ears and applies the break so hard that the car goes completely an inch above the ground and comes to a standstill.

She had closed her eyes so tight that there was nothing visible to her, why is this happening to her; she can feel a tear roll down her beautiful eyes. She slowly opens her eyes not able to bear the knocking that is happening against a glass door. The tap is gentle enough but for her it is like some huge rock gathering momentum to crush her bones underneath it.

She opens her eyes to find a man standing on the other side of the window. The person looks familiar but she does not who is it, she hasn’t still collected her senses. She lowly responds to the sound and tries to lower her window pane and take a look, her mind runs wild is it the masked man?!

Oh! My god it is the masked man…alright so I get to meet him. She takes a look at her and as the window lowers she sees a familiar smile and a face, she finds it hard to place the face…where did I see it first.

Tall, Smart and Handsome…!

It is a dark alley. Nothing is visible even after your eyes adjusting to the surrounding, walking down it was like walking without an aim and endlessly knowing not for what…but she could not stop.

She kept hurrying though, through the alley and could see a ray of light from the further side and suddenly her heart wished for hope and almost ran towards it is.

She knew not why or for what but she kept pursuing not able to stop her and her mind that was raiding her with loads of questions and then the image flashed in front of her.

It was the usual image of a masked man, who smelt of sweat and cologne and he had his shirt buttons left open, the shirt tucked into his pants and that shinny pants…never could make out from where he comes, but he appears and always in the same attire and solves the mystery for her.

Only thing she does not understand in his appearance is that he is all that women talk about, tall and handsome, manly, the vigor, gentlemanly, his hands strong, they way he held her that tender clutch around her waist, strong enough to carry her to a safe distance, then drop her and does the vanishing act…!

In this ordeal everything else was different but one thing remained constant…he was not the dark skinned guy…like a women’s dream. He was fair and his skin had this perfect blend of the colors of a dark coffee bean and the milky cream…he did not fall into the genre of romantic hero’s off the romantic novels or the drop dead dark hero that women always fascinate with!

She never knew why he kept seeing him the same way again and again and never knew why he always kept disappearing after the safety turn…like he did now and she always could not continue further…!

She woke up with a start and looked around and tried to go back to her sleep…looking for that smart looking guy who came from nowhere and went nowhere…she is right at that spot…hill top, deserted plains, watery ways, the dry desserts, the wet swamps, the boat rides, the cruises, the landslides, the earthquakes…but he was not just coming back.

She turns to the right, clutches the pillow tight, closes her eyes shut and places her onto the reel again and waits for him to come…the alley running deep and dark, the light in the corner, she is almost there at the end of the alley…he should appear now…now…!

“S..a…ndh…ya, Sandhya….!” – her mom’s voice. How come she came here? She turns to her right again and finds a hazy figure hovering over her.

Opening wide her eyes, she looks at her mother smiling at her and asking her to wake up…she can see her mother mumbling a lot of things, but she can’t hear any. The room comes into her sight and the things around and finds that she is in her very bedroom and nowhere…the alley is gone, along with it the light and the darkness.

She shoves her mom off and tries to close her eyes again, and she finds a hand touching her…a smile spreads across her face and then it pushes her further and finds that her mother shaking her off her sleep.

“Mom, please do, let me walk to the end of the alley, please…let me see his face today, please. I know it is masked but I want to see his eyes that speak a volume to me…that warmth of the breath close to my lips…that sends slender tremors into my body and soul…Mom, please let me do it, just this one time.”

“Hey, what are you blabbering, Sandhya? What is it? Who is it? Now, you get up and tell me the truth what is all this about? Are you seeing someone? Who is it? Wait, till I tell your dad about this? You little naughty girl, behind our backs you have been weaving your own love story is it….Siva, Siva…come here, listen to your daughter.”

“Aiyoo….mom, nothing like that, said Sandhya pulling the rug off her body that had got tangled with her journey. What did I say? What did I blabber?

No, no, wait mom that was just a dream.”

By now, Sandhya was wide awake and was racking her brains for whatever she could have blabbered to her mom and the after effects of it. She was so sure that her mom is not going to let her go so easily and it would take a longer time to convince them…both the mom and dad.

She found her mom has already gone to tell things to her dad. She did not know what to do. She just closes her eyes and that pair of eyes came alive…Oh! My god not again…!

She ran into the bathroom and started talking to herself loud enough for the whole world to know. She got done with her morning duties along with her long explanations to herself. She opens the doors to find her mom and dad standing in front of her right at the doorway.

Instantly, she closes it and then regains herself and opens the door slowly with a sly smile. They both smile at her and her dad slowly holds her forehand and she starts off…“dad, dad, let me explain…it is nothing just a dream…….she goes on for some 20 mints without a gasp of breath!”

Her mom and dad just listen to her and then laugh aloud when she finishes it. They give a laugh so loud that she is bewildered and after a minute joins them…!

They all have a hearty laugh and get on with their work. She is not able to get this guy off her memory and he seems to be playing hide and seek with her especially with her today…she promises herself today she is going to find out who he is…tonight, wait my dear – she says forgetting the fact it – is just a dream.

(to be contd……..)

Do I know you? Final Part!

Ending -1 :

They both were wondering what kind of a situation is this, why aren’t they considered before deciding anything and next time they are not going to let it happen this way. Will control the situation next time something like this happens. Now, the next time will always be a different experience and it never happens as you intend to happen.

I patronize with the reader, who thinks that they should have met the first time or else developed the interaction while traveling up and down. Yes, I agree two strong individuals, with a similar habit; mostly preferences will also be the same, why did they not get together?

What if they get together and turned out to be bitter? What always seems same at the surface need not be the same underneath, do you feel so? They should have got together, now they have almost come at tolerating each other, but why separate? Can’t they carry on the same business as they used to and just wonder what if I had talked to her and she had responded?

Ending -2:

Life returns to normalcy and there is peace within and around. There is nothing to worry about and the natural flow of events takes precedence and life is back with a bang.

She is free to do what she wants to do and continue doing it and he is free to do what he did and does it without a hesitation and life seems to go on. On one such day of office and the usual bus stop, they accidentally meet after a long gap.

Nobody knew why the gap or how it happened, they meet again and this time there is a lighting of recognition and the acknowledgment leads to a wide smile. That does not mean that they will start liking each other and follow their heart instead of head. But, yes there is a certainty of friendship on cards.

But do all friendships end in marriages?! :)

Do I know you?(Part-3)

It often happens with us, we tend to see a person for more than once and end up seeing that person again and again, even if we don’t want to see them or even have a slightest inclination to have a glance of them….something like ‘selective perception’.

That is what exactly happens here, almost most of the days they find each other either standing there for the bus or in the bus in the mornings or in evenings. But, in due course of time, they become tolerable to each other to almost negligible tolerance to the appearances!

So, this is their external appearances, inside they were wondering what if one day I said, ‘Hi’ just like that what will be the outcome! But neither of them had the appropriateness to start off with and let it be there.

One day, a dull and chilly morning when it looked as if the showers were to happen any moment. At a distance, she walking towards the bus stop, she knew she was late and her steps were hurrying to the stop. Just then her bus zooms past her and she has never seen the bus in such a hurry before.

She was just a few yards from the bus stop and knew in heart-of-hearts that she is to miss it today and there is no escape and slowed her pace. She had walked in her own pace and found the bus still at the stop, surprised she found the doors open for her to enter, for a second she did not know what to do. She regained her reflexes and stepped into the bus in a jiffy. She stood by to find a place and found pair of eyes and lips turn into a smile and recognition.

She wasn’t that dumb, she knew who had stopped the bus and why? She wanted to acknowledge the help, but wonders why I should, no big deal would have come by the next bus. Forgetting all the manners learnt and taught, she just looks away, which widens the smile more into a titter. Well earned one…it relaxed the mind and soul in days!

Pressure from all sides, no remedy from friends, no decision seems fine, no amounts of explaining helps and nothing makes sense, at last have to give in for the requests of the parents, both decide to meet the demands of their respective parents and they agree for a gathering at the brides’ place one Friday evening!

Both of them wonder now, what…they had to give in but their mind does not allow them to do such a thing, and kept on questioning how to call it off! Each one looking for a reason to avoid this situation just wonders what to do.

He gets caught at last minute things at the office and totally forgets about his promise to his parents and they call him after an hour later of the appointed time to ask for the reason…he is so embarrassed never had he behaved so badly. Making people wait for him and not landing up there. He was to be at the bride’s place at about 7 pm.

She being a lesser human being had to be at home by 3 pm and prepare for the whole episode as if it was the only desire in life. She felt like being put to scrutiny but did to bother much to fight over the situation and took it calm. She did not know why or how suddenly she became calm at all this stuff but prepared herself for the ordeal.

She had been waiting at her place for the entrant except for his parents, who seemed to happy at whatever was being offered to them and overwhelming happy at the event and were all praises. They were friends and it was always obvious in a friendship that is lost and found.

The party dispersed and there is peace at least within the people who did not want such an even to occur and the people who were for it just wondered what could be the reason behind the absence.

Nobody seemed to be bothered about the happening for sometime and at the surface it looked at calm and forlorn thing for each party. Days went by and neither of them had the pleasant feeling of bringing things into light again.

Then, one day as a preceding storm that had been building silently under the calm sea, surges forward and destroys everything at its path. Once again the topic took form and shape and this time there was an amicable situation of the same. He had decided enough is enough will just go ahead and take a look and ponder over it and then give a verdict. After all the situations is under control, the least.

Both of them continue going on with their daily chores and are at peace with the situation and the surrounding. The general habits returning and courtesies flow by and there seems to acknowledgment of each others presence. This time it is neither the girl nor the boy who stand in the way to avoid the circumstances and they try to go in for the tide.

This time it is a different set up and the boy and girl are supposed to meet rather than the whole family meeting. So the pretext of seeing the girl separately without the hindrance of the parents gives an extra once of happiness. After all, it is an arranged marriage and who can avoid the event of seeing each other under the spotlight of parents!

At the appointed hour, he sets on his journey delegating the necessary mails and updates to his colleague and on his way out of the office. He receives a call and the simple update the meeting being called off on the pretext of the family and the whole event stands canceled for now.

Now, once a drop is an event is blamed on circumstances, twice cannot be coincidence. So both the families consider it an omen or a sign, and call the whole thing off.

PS: I have two endings to this stupid story, which should I post! :)

Do I know you! (Part-2)

The minute and the hour hand are dragging by and it looks like they are wound to each other and not seeming to move for the past, fifteen minutes. The book in the hand isn’t doing any help either, the mind is still unrest and every now and then the thought of why, how and when keeps popping up?

There is lot of noise around and people seem to gather and depart as the buses ply by! The much awaited bus arrives and both of them get in and get a place to rest their souls.

The weird combo of this bus is that, there are places where you sit facing across each other and they happen to be seated this way…she not able to concentrate on her book, looks out of the window and tries to catch a glimpse of the passing things.

She finds a pair of eyes staring at her from the other end, it irritates her and she looks in the direction to find a man of medium height and absolutely with no sense of ethics was showing a wide-mouthed gape at her that turned into one of the funniest smiles.

She is just averted by the sight and immerses herself into the book or rather hides her face from that sight. When she is about to lift her book again, that thing happened.

A casual glance and the four eyes met for a mere second and there was a strike of understanding, for the pair of eyes caught the sight of the disgrace and happened to aware him of the coming imprudence.

She just looked at the pair of eyes and wondered ‘what’s his problem now’? ‘Who is he to poke into my affairs?’ Thinks a lady-savior or something?! How stupid? Trying to impress or…?! Just need a slightest indication to start off a friendly approach?!

Thinking that it was even useless to continue the argument within herself she again gets lost in her book…the day at the office also turns to be sour and restless. She just feels the day just passes off and she can get back to her place and find solace in her own quarters.

He misses his stop, gets down at another stop and walks back the entire way up to his office. Sometimes he wonders he should start using his own conveyances rather depend on these stupid public transports.

But the thought of smoke, pollution, traffic, and the signal lights, he finds that sometimes being just a passenger helps rather than driving. Driving is a passion for most of us, so is also for him. He takes long visits to places all around by traveling in his own car or using the conveyances that are available to experience the joy of just traveling.

It is not a sunny day, so his walk back to his office was pleasant with music in his ears, the one and only Michael Jackson, singing some of his legendary songs. Hmm…he revered with the thought that this ‘Man’s lost forever’ no matter whatever he was a genius and there is no one who can fill in the vacuum created by him.

Listening to him he enters the office and gets on to his day’s work. However, in spite of his hectic schedule he is not able to shut his mind and their grunts intervened by all these he is also disturbed by the small figure of woman who sat across him.

He was surprised by the pride that lady put up…her stares and her aversion, her stubborn nature…he seemed to be finding a different attitude in ages. Not that he is a professor or his research in women-folk is helping him, he wasn’t interested in them apart from having friendly acquaintances. He wondered why she disturbed him so much, in spite of being a total stranger.

He gets back home thanking the gods in heaven that the day came to an end with great difficulty. He dreads the thought of home for a second and kicks the thought off as after all it is his home, whatever the conditions it forays!

Days roll by and the parents don’t seem to know what their offspring’s conditions are and they set on to the proposal and wonder that is the best for their offspring. There can’t be any good happening to them, at least when they are at the wheel and nothing else matters, when they have set their mind on.

Both, my characters are not against marriage or partnership. They are not for different types of marriages or for any kind of marriage. They are just confused about the fact and the myths surrounded by the word marriage and it’s after effects. They just can’t understand the strands of marriage and it vows and does not want to be in a relation unless they get into it.

They don’t know how to fight their cause and also not like the youth of today who just for the sake of being in a relation pick, choose and drop out of it. Both are developed individuals and know their limits and delimits and all they want is sometime to analyze what they feel worth of and then get into a relation to live life to the fullest.

Today’s decisions are tomorrow’s mistakes to repent! But who listens to men and women of this thinking, they too get lost in the mundane of life. So, did these two…will catch up soon what they did with themselves?

Dawning Dreams.....!

It was early morning, Mohan tossed and turned on his bed, and he could hear the distant coo of a bird and the adjoining sound of a female coo…to it.

He thought, ‘Damn, it is only day-break and I am not able to sleep, what has happened to me…I don’t want to get up…the manager is not in today…I can be late to office…Oh! Please doze off….’

No, his mind did not heed neither his sleep…he woke up reluctantly and looked around all was bright and gay…he slipped on his house slippers and then slowly walked up to the sit-out…he looked around a beautiful day and the sun was just brushing off its own laziness….!

He took a deep breath and it had been ages he wondered at the nature with awe….he slowly pulled on his sweat shirt and found the basket ball he had left unattended at the cupboard corner…with it flew a cloud of dust…it chocked his lungs…he coughed a bit and quickly strode out onto the lawn….!

The house was spaced on a 3600 square feet and was artistically done, which donned a basketball sling attached to the top of the wall that spaced the sit-out from the 1st floor of the house.

Hmm…he has lost practice with the throw but still does not know what to do so…he starts nudging the ball…he just throws the ball so hard that it bounces out of his gate and down on to the street…

The sun is bright and up right now, there are crows and birds chirping around and some lazy dogs barking somewhere, the milkman, the paper boy all had finished their rounds…the locality is an abode in heaven with both the sides of the street adorned with big and huge trees spreading their branches and covering the stretch of the street with their leaves and flowers, giving away a celestial fragrance and the flowers that are no more to the twigs had fallen on the ground to adorn the street….!

There is a heavy carpet of flowers in different colors….and it was highlighted by the rays of the light that was passing through the branches from above and looked as if a scene drawn out of the sets of a romantic film…Mohan who came out to pick his ball was just looking at the scenic beauty and the ball was rolling into the street ahead of him…

He is lost in the beauty till a slow cold morning wind blows across his face and it sends a slight shiver through his arms, shoulder and backbone…he just shudders with the chillness…when he sees an angel down the aisle in a dark colored dress….with wavy hair that is uncontrollable to the blowing wind and the hands busy holding on to the bars of the cycle…!

She stops her vehicle and pulls her strands and pushes it behind her ears to hold them tight for sometime…and the rays from the sun fall on her as an spotlight from heaven….the leaves had given away to the pressure of the wind…..she puts a hand to cover her from the light just leaving a single ray peep through her finger making a halo around her….!

Oh! She looked ordinarily extra-ordinary….but she did not stand there forever she cycled past him and did not look back but she smiled at him when their eyes met for a milli-second and he knew….it was the smile that he had to look forward forever….but why him?

His mind reckoned why him….he does not believe anything of this sort and even in movies he said, ‘why it is always an extra -ordinary introduction for the heroine…?’

Nah…it can’t be him who is seeing this feat….it is just a dream…and dreams never come true…what am I doing standing and dreaming a perfect romantic picture scene of heroine introduction….oh! Enough of these ‘Yash Chopra heroines…’ where’s the ball…is, where is it…it just rolled in the front…where it did go….!

Ah! There it is, the stupid ball…how can a ball be stupid…you are stupid…you are the one who threw it….!

Ow! He hit against a stone and stumbled upon it….thud…! the sound was loud…and the pain started flowing into his senses and his back hurt…why is my back hurting….? I fell on my knees…my knees should be hurt…he could not keep his eyes, closed any more…he opened them and found the fan on the ceiling squeaking and running at full speed….!

He was coming into conscious with every turn of the fan blade….he pulled his eyes fully open with an instant and sat up with a bolt…he was on the floor of his room bundled in the blanket he had spread over him last night and he had fallen off his bed…!

He tried to get up and his back ached…but his mind was recollecting the events he saw…he looked at the watch it was past 9o’clock and it was trouble for him at the office if he does not reach it in another few minutes….!

He sets off to his daily chores returning to the mundane life he was in before….in the hurry-burry of his morning…he forgot about the angel he saw…and in whose life does a dream at day-break comes…true!

Has it for any one…?

Do I know you? - Part 1

Marriages…Marriages?! Ugh! Phew! Who had made this rule? Each parent who has a girl child in the age of 20 onwards is worried only of this aspect and nothing else?

Ugh! When will this world change and give the women the right to earn like a man and be responsible like a man…!!!

I am fed up? I never knew my own family would also react to me like this? All they can think of possible BAKRA’s {Scapegoat} for me and nothing else. Whoever they get for me fits into the bill of my type and that’s all they need…they bring him on a fine day and I have to put up with this hungama [drama] for almost half a day and then endure the after effects of it?

I had enough of this. I am not going to tolerate….ENOUGH!

Fuming within herself, she walks on the road of Madiwala, the streets that she lives in, now it almost like a century for her. This place was all knew when they had moved in. There were very few houses and the streets were of mud and did not have been tarred but now it is a city of its own and there is so much of crowd that her breath starts pleading for space and air! She is at this place since her schooling.

She is almost at the end of the road and delves into the main road which leads to Electronic City. The place of her office at the end of the juncture she has her bus stop, the D500 bus stops there to pick her up.

A bus zooms by and if she had been a second sooner, the bus would have brushed against her skin and left her injured.

Thank god, she is safe. She turned around to see, which numbered bus flew past her…to her dismay it was the bus – D500 that ply’s to Electronic City. Now, that it has left she has to wait for an hour in that stupid bus stop to take the other one.

The reason behind waiting so long for a transport is that the particular bus was an air-conditioned bus and could give you the comfortable ride till your destination killing the sun from outside.

She knows it will be only her who would wait in the bus stop, but today she finds a smart looking fellow seated at the bus stop waiting. She wonders who the hell is he and does not want any trouble from him. She was not in a mood to be polite and especially to an eligible bachelor…all are creeps!

She is extremely angry. She cannot stand the sight of men now. What’s wrong with her? Oh! God, grant me some peace. With one stern look she walks past him and settles on one corner of the seat and gets lost in the book she is currently reading…Tolstoy was narrating ‘War and Peace’.

There he wonders why she gave me such a creepy look. What do I look like? Huh! All these women think men folk have no other work, other than gaping at their features and wondering what it would be? Huh! Not interested, maam.

He does not know what to do…his heart and mind unrest due to the happenings at home, why don’t people understand? All I wanted is some time for myself…A man can’t earn his freedom in this relatively independent world!

He had been at the right time to the bus stop, in spite of being here. He could not take the bus that went by because he was lost in his thoughts and was debating to himself when he looked up the doors of the bus had closed and almost rolled out of the stop. He pulls out his current read and leafs through Tolstoy’s ‘Anna Karenina’… what a wonderful writer!

(….to be continued)

A Mediocre in the City - Part 2

All was well and he seemed to be doing good till his obsession got the better of him. He started feeling that people were noticing him, he felt being followed, he felt people keeping a constant watch over him, and he felt he is being watched more than he watching people for their behavior.
That‘s it he felt uncomfortable and fell into a deep well of self-pity and started feeling conscious of his self and started avoiding people, eye contact, he used to hear voices all around him and they seemed to haunt him.

People had long discussions and if he heard laughter’s aloud he amused something was wrong with him and thought people discussed about him behind his back. It was getting on his nerves, he started missing office, he started staying at home, the guy who used to be impeccably dressed and move around walked in a hollow state.

His bread started growing, his unkempt hair covered the rest of the face that was visible and grew longer to contemplate the bread. He closed in his shoulders that they almost touched together in front of his chin. The total turn of characteristics made him into a man who lost all in a very young age. He lost touch with outside world and he had forgotten to eat as well.

Nobody found his absence and people thought probably he had shifted to another city and settled with something he found. As it is he never had any familiar conversations with anybody and he never disclosed his feelings or thoughts to people, there was no reason to find him. He left his job and was also running out of money but did he bother about it….no.

Days went on and he confined himself to his room and never came out of it. The neighbors, the landlord got worried and kept knocking at his door for some days with no answer and only sudden shrill sounds from inside. They were so much sacred to break open and take a look, they kept wondering what horrid images they would find and that kept them at bay. They kept it as their little secret and went on their way of life. The people were horrified by the shrill voices at night, the only evidence of the life that used to live there in the house and had strolled by.

Sometimes they heard several voices from inside but could not figure out who went and at what time? They could not notice anybody walking up to the house nor walking away from it and wondered how the voices came from as they heard? It became a mystery day-by-day.

Caught in all this entanglements…he lost his life and his prime time of his life was being wasted in hallucinations and disturbed feelings. One day it became unbearable for him, talking and fighting with himself, he banged open the doors of his house and walked into the broad day light, a man of extreme smartness and a lad of early twenties walked as if he was aged in days and a old sage, with unkempt clothes and a bad hovering smell of unkempt hair and body.

He goes to a small shop and buys a fag for himself, he wasn’t a smoker but used to occasionally with friends. Today, he felt he wanted to and took long staggering puffs of it…he seemed to relax in months.

He stood there looking at the sun, the blinding effect it made on his eyes, he closed his eyes, looked into the black circles that formed…and was lost in abysses. He finished off his cigarette and starts talking to himself, people kept looking at him, and the shopkeeper had literally shoved him away, till he produced the 100 rupee note.

Strangely, not much of a scene was created at his appearance and people looked at their jobs busily, this city has lost its intuitiveness. He walks back to his abode after what looked like almost some two hours of standing on the road with closed eyes and the lone cigarette puffing away in the daylight.
He comes to his abode as he has been lucky to not confiscated by the law from been smoking on a street and returns home safe. He had kept his doors open and did not lock it. He felt there isn’t any need of it now and he was like an open book and all these days of solace had reviled him all bonds and expectations and he break away the rules that bound him. He had also forgotten the ways of life used to be stiff and stridden in clutches everywhere.

He gets back and immediately notices something odd about his house. He finds tracks but not sure what or which caused the tracks there were prints of few toes and the rest of the leg prints missing. He is petrified and wonders what or which caused this? He feels someone’s there in his place, it is possessed. He tries to shake it away by throwing his things, by scattering things, making huge noise and sounds, people rush to see what the commotion is about?

Now, how the prints get in there in the first place…obviously the place was not kept neat and tidy. It has amounts of dust and mud filled on the floor that where perfect foliage for the prints. He turned the house upside down but could not get any trace of the animal or human that could have done this. People kept looking for some time at the commotion and his restlessness and then murmuring to themselves walked away to mind their own chores.

They kept reminding themselves that a collective approach to the problem must be done to get this cranky fellow out of this place. His parents did not know what’s wrong with this guy and they kept put in their place and never knew of what was happening here. He had attended a few calls sometime back and had answered to them, ‘Don’t call me. I am very busy and will call back when I have time.’ And they believed he was extremely busy that they kept him away from home for almost two months, were getting worried at the end of it.

What happened to him? Why is he isn’t calling them? What happened to his usual behavior of calling them for every single enquiry? Really worried the couple, decide to travel to see him the Sunday and start to get there by the train.

They reach the house where he stays and hearing a lot of conversations and surrounded by still hopeless and useless people, the place where he stays, both are worried and dropping their belongings run up a flight of stairs to see their son amidst the abysses and they are not able to recognize their child and neither he could his parents.

They rake him up and the eyes that used to pour gallons of love and affection, is lost in memory and it is totally out of focus.

A Mediocre in the City

Working in the IT sectors of the city, he used to stay almost about 8-10 hours away from his small home cum living room that was placed in the well-known area of the city, but lost in the crowd.

He is less known among his surrounding and almost invariably remains unknown of the fear that he might be spotted to be extremely handsome and invite troubles because of it….

His work is only solace and even being in the best of cadres in the office he confines to himself and talks only to a few and very much on official terms and if somebody of his team does not get motivated and feels lonely, he as a tutor fells obliged to talk to that person and clear his doubts and be a leading shoulder.

Otherwise, he is himself and more the people want to know him they get convoluted. So, after several hopeless tries of effort let him be himself and at peace within themselves.

Some found him so handsome and thought it was all the weight of his attractiveness that he his throwing around, but when he spoke, he really spoke with sense and made people sweep off their feet. He seemed intelligent in any field they referred to, he seemed more polite and manly than the whole crowd, he seemed to be the perfect blend for any prospect girl, but all in vain. He was a stoned wall which people could not break through after a point.

He was much like the secrets of the pyramids in the Egypt that try to dazzle everyone till the end even though you don’t seem closer to the truth you feel you are nearing it day-by-day.

He has a beautiful family in the temple city of Tamilnadu and he makes his visit once a month availing a legitimate leave and visits them regularly. He is not bound by duties or responsibilities; his dad is still the earning member of his family with his mother who shares her husband’s burden. Both of them, are veteran college lecturers who have pulled through ups and down of their life with smiling faces and always been surrounded by young blood year after year, understand their life and appreciate them being responsible and of immense knowledge power that was a liability to them, in times of yesteryear.

He has an elder brother, who is into the Industrial sector and works for a prestigious industry in India and a younger brother is doing his final years of study following his brother into the helm of Information Technology. His parents had longed for a girl in the family but the only women in the family being their mother, they could understand females better.

They all supported and did chores for their mother and made her feel happy and it looked as if she lived in a family with three fathers, who absolutely had the greatest care of her. The guys did not feel affiliated to any other female on earth and moved closely to their and thought no of girls or women will meet up to their mother.

And from here comes his aloofness to the females on earth and did not want to mingle much with the girls and kept away from the limelight. When his friend’s uses to comment on his handsomeness and say the Miss World and Universe would swindle to fall at his feet and become known with him, just for his manliness. He used just give them a smile and tell them, there is no one such breathtaking for me and I find it absolutely waste of time. His friends used to feel jealous of his manhood and used to swear that if the wealth that he has even given in one percent would have been enough for them to churn the world and play with it.

But fate is otherwise and all they could do was watch him do nothing about anything and were obliged to live like that with him or lose his friendship. They though at least by sticking to him they could bring on some luck.

So our man was the same till he really started focusing on his career and his shift to this small hamlet of his in the city. His four walls knew more of him than the other around him. He was bored with his lifestyle, one day decided to talk a long walk through the street that lead to his house from the main street and relax.

It was a lone Saturday afternoon, with sun blazing in from above with clouds trying to play hide and seek, he slowly started walking down the street, noticing the scattered people, looking at them, their activities and the lone street with very few people, suddenly something in him inspired and he thought that watching people would be a nice time killer.

He took his long walk and got back and as a habit of writing things that were close to his heart in an orange colored notebook of the ITC brand with wonderful covers. He opened it and made notes of things that he had seen and how it affected him or how it related to him. After he finished writing, he did not feel relaxed as he used to feel whenever he finished writing such an episode.

He felt something turning and still burning in him and he was getting addicted to the thought in his mind, without the fell that this might get psychotic sometime down the lane. He started practicing this art and he seemed to mastering it at a quick pace. His office turned to be the best place of specimens and now even women and girls fell into the sector and he was awed at the complexness, the varied combinations and permutations the world had.

He wondered how his mind could comprehend these complex living beings and their thought process just like the back of his hand. He went on falling a victim to his own scheme and he knew how his manager to react to him, if he said something he did not like and he started manipulating his sentences to just get the right answer from his manager. It worked and every time after he had left the cabin, his manger would come out of his trance and than realize he did something out of his control, but could not revoke.

He was becoming dangerously serious with this obsession. Standing a few feet away from the crowd he could read at least ten minds at lightning speed and his mind did wonders for him. He could comprehend when things happen and what outcome, and what is what. Sitting in the comforts of his office, he could draw a virtual map of his home and pick the things that he missed seeing in his daily routine or trace a thing which he wasn’t able to find in a hurry. He would go home and find it right where he saw in his mind picture. Such was his mind power…
